PRAGUE and a little of Paris
So far we've spent the most time in Prague. Out of all the places I've been, I would have liked to see more it. There was the Old Town and the new city and both were fascinating . Our Air bnb was on Stephanska street which was about 2 miles away from St. Charles bridge. The street was busy and they had really good Indian and Chinese food. Of course on our first night we had traditional Czech food but it was very heavy and the a popular dish is boiled bread and braughworst. We mostly drank a beer because it was so cheap and picked up food whenever we wanted. The one thing that I wanted to do so badly but didn’t have enough time to book a reservation was the Beer Spa. You basically take a bath in beer as well as get a massage all while drinking! St. Charles bridge was a very famous bridge that we crossed about 3 or four times a day to get us from the old town to our air bnb. The bridge was packed with tourists, artists, beggars and statues but it was very beautiful early in the morning and around dawn. St. Charles Bridge was constructed in 1357 under the reign of King Charles IV. The bridge is considered to be one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world. The first day we got to walk around we saw so many people eating these cinnamon roll/ churro with ice cream desert called a Trdlo. It was delicious but later found out that they had nothing to do Czech culture. The first night we arrived, we had a beer tasting of 12 different beers for 24 Kronos. We had cheaper beer in other places. My favorite part of Prague was when we crossed St. Charles bridge and arrived at Kafkas house. There was a beautiful museum dedicated to his work and a wonderful fountain of two men peeing. One of the best and scariest things Prague has is an elevator. The elevator is constant and you never have to ring it, the coolest part about it, is that it goes sideways. There is a hidden gem called S Insituit and it has a wonderful view of the busy touristic spots as well as the famous Astrological clock. You can have a cheap beer and be hidden away from everyone while still being in the center of everything. We took a 50 minute boat tour on the Vltava. The Vltava is the longest river within the Czech Republic but no one can swim in it. Prague was lovely and I hope to go back soon. I didn’t buy any souvenirs in Prague but my mom bought a bracelet from a vender on the St. Charles bridge. She likes to buy a little something from each place and she usually goes for bracelets. I on the other hand like clothes or shoes but the style choices in Prague for shoes was a throwback to a different era. We tried staying in Prague for two extra nights because our Paris air bnb wasn’t expecting us until the 18th. We decided to fly to Paris because the train would have taken 14 hours. We arrived at Charles de Guale airport and got a hotel room in the 12 arrondissement at the Hotel Lenox in Montparnasse. This area was known for the abundance of crepe places and the outdoor food/art/vintage markets. That first day we took a hop on hop off city bus tour and we rode it around twice because we were too slow getting off for the Latin District so we had to see a lot of the sites twice before we could hit that area again. The latin district had Maxims which is a famous restaurant people like to go. We went into the Notre Dame which was lovely but I personally think St. Petersburg in Vienna was more beautiful. The Notre Dame had cool gargoyles and some lively music outside. My mom bought a set of coasters for 4 Euros with cats on it and I wanted a "picture book" of Paris but I didn't want to shlep it home .We strolled through the garden of Luxembourg and watched the little boats sail by but it was really hot and we needed to get out of the sun so we left and had dinner at Le Rotonde. Once again, everyone smokes these little skinny cigarettes even some of the pregnant women so eating outside and inhaling the smoke is annoying but whatever. Paris is lovely and so big. I’ve only stayed in two of the arrindosimentws but they both have so much characteristic. The food is amazing. The cheese is great, the wine is cheap and the Metro system is easy to get around. This city has class and so much culture and I can’t wait for my brother, chase, to come and see what its all about. Tomorrow night, my mom and him are going to the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. I was supposed to go as well but I told my mom last minute that The 1975 is having a concert so I’m seeing them tomorrow night.

Great Pictures!
