Essentials
These aren't really the essentials but these things will help pass the time when I'm waiting in the Moscow airport for four hours. My mom and I are leaving today and I was in charge of booking all the hotels and Air BnB's. I thought I was doing alright with the task but I pressed the wrong dates for our first hotel. This lead to one expensive phone call to Switzerland and another call to the booking.com headquarters in Chicago. Luckily, they were able to change the dates before it became an expensive mistake. Haven't even left my house yet and I'm already f*cking up. I leave for LAX in a half an hour but I'm getting really sad. I don't want to leave my dogs and kitties for three weeks.
I feel like they're going to get bigger and miss me too. The one thing that I know from traveling internationally is the amount of cats and dogs that run wild. I really appreciate the fact that the citizens of the country actually care for the homeless dogs and cats. Anyway, our first leg of the trip is a 12 hour flight to Moscow and then a four hour lay over and then a flight to Zurich. We get into Zurich around 10:55 on the 6th. Woo!
